Wilma Irene Rife, age 98, of Quincy, IL formerly of Steffenville, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018, in sunset Home in Quincy, IL.

She was born December 25, 1919, at Nelsonville, MO the daughter of Arthur Perville and Inez  Otten Gunnel.  She was united in marriage to Leon Holt rife of January 1, 1937, at Steffenville, MO and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1994.

Wilma was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Bobby Gene Rife, one brother Darrel Gunnell and three grandchildren.

Surviving are one son Gary L. (Vicki) Rife of Magnolia, TX, five grandchildren, Gary Craig (Damita) Rife of Columbia, MO, Gregory N. Rife of Palmyra, MO, Kimberley Ann (Steven) Wall of Round Rock, TX, Lanie (Scott) Hallmark and Kelly (Drew) Wilke all of Tomball, TX, eleven great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Wilma was born in Marion County, MO in the Nelsonville area and received her education at Steffenville, MO.  She resided for several years in the Steffenville area where she and her husband were engaged in farming.   She has lived in Quincy for the past 10 months and prior to that had lived in the Houston, TX area for twenty-two years.

Wilma loved traveling, spending time with her friend's playing cards, she enjoyed her time with her dogs, pets and animals and also enjoyed sewing and cooking especially thanksgiving.

Graveside services will be held 11:30 A.M. Saturday, September 29, 2018, in the Steffenville Cemetery.  Chaplin Jerry Edison will officiate the services.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, in the Coder funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.

Casket bearers will be Dustin Rife, Christopher Rife, John Meyer, Craig Rife, Gregory Rife and Gary Rife.
