Wilda Kay Dooley, age 72, of Edina, MO, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2019, in Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO.   She was born June 28, 1947, in Macon, MO, the daughter of Carl Henry and Sylvia Burris Bean.

She was united in marriage to James Dean Dooley on February 24, 1966, in Shelbina, MO and he preceded her in death on July 29, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son, Daniel Carl Dooley and two sisters Anna Miller and Jewell Robuck.

Surviving are three children, James Kenneth (Gloria) Dooley of Plevna, MO, Brian Lee (Jill) Dooley of Novelty, MO, and Deborah Kay Dooley of Edina, MO, a daughter-in-law, Daisy Dooley of Novelty, nine grandchildren, Kayla, Chris, Sarah, Robert, Daniela, Donovan, Kaylee, Will and Jake, one great grandchild, Kayson Clark, three nephews, Wayne (Kerri) Miller of Bevier, MO, Karl (Alice) Miller of Clarence, MO, Billy (Jenny) Miller of Clarence, MO and one niece Carol Sue Miller of Clarence, MO.

Kay received her education at Clarence, MO where she graduated from High School.   She had been employed at Dents Auction service, Old and New Auction in Edina, MO, the Knox County Nursing Home as a CNA and as custodian at Knox County Elementary School for fifteen years.

Kay was a member of the Plevna Christian Church.   She enjoyed embroidering, puzzles, reading and spending time with family and friends.  Her little dog Mitzi was the joy of her life.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2019, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Reverend Paul Milliken will officiate the services.  Burial will be in the Novelty Cemetery.

Music will be Amazing Grace by Lisa Blake, One Day At A Time by Paul and Marsha Burton, and recordings Holes In The Floor Of Heaven and How Can I Help You Say Goodbye.

Casket bearers will be Wayne Miller, Karl Franke, Kenny Dooley, Brian Dooley, Chris Dooley, and Martin Edwards.  Honorary bearers will be Jim Burris, Gene Burris, Norberto DeLeon, Billy Miller, Karl Miller, Rex Winn and Alan Rimer.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 24, 2019, after 4 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
