Victor Eugene Peterson, age 91 of Hurdland, MO, passed away Friday, December 28, 2018, in the Schuyler County Nursing Home in Queen City, MO.

He was born October 21, 1927, in Knox County, MO the son of Jacob Axel and Nancy Price Peterson.  He was united in marriage to Betty Mae Parrish on February 11, 1949, in Hurdland, MO.  It was near their 70 ^th Anniversary.  Two this union two children were born, Dan Peterson and Janice Parrish.

Surviving are his wife Betty Mae Peterson of Hurdland, MO, one son Danny (Joyce) Peterson of Greentop, MO, son-in-law John Parrish of Harrah, OK, four grandchildren, Shelly (Chad) Campbell of Edmond, OK, Lisa (Nathan) Kiner of Milford NH, Kelly (Kris) Peterson of Hurdland, MO, Jeremy (Mandy) Peterson of Washington IL, eight great-grandchildren, Quinn Campbell, Cory Campbell, Saffron Kiner, Jonathan Kiner, Branden Peterson and Reid, Wes and Ellie Peterson, one sister Mary Margaret (Robert) Lingenfelter of Hurdland, MO, two brothers David (Carol) Peterson of Rock Island, IL, and J.B. (Mary) Peterson of Willard, MO, two sisters-in-law Virginia Peterson of Gorin, MO and Ellen Carpenter of Davenport, IA one aunt Wanda Peterson of Rutledge, MO and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Victor was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Janice Colleen Parrish Nov. 12, 2018, one sister Virginia Holman and husband Harry, two brothers, John William and Jakie Peterson.

Victor was raised in the Colony and Gorin area and was a lifelong resident of the Hurdland community where he and his wife were engaged in farming for over 66 years.  He was a member and deacon of the First Baptist Church of Hurdland, MO.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, December 31, 2018, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.   Reverend Robert Harrison will officiate the services.  Burial will be in Park View Memorial Gardens in Kirksville, MO.

Musical selections will be Daddy's Hands and Go Rest High On That Mountain.

Casket bearers will be Kelly Peterson, Jeremy Peterson, Nathan Kiner, Chad Campbell, Luther Green and Rex Sykes.  Honorary bearers will be Ronnie Peterson, Larry Overstreet, Dale Laske, Larry Sykes and his great grandsons, Branden Peterson, Jonathan Kiner, Cory Campbell, Reid Peterson, and Wesley Peterson.

Visitation will be held Monday, December 31, 2018, from 11 a.m. till time of services 1 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
