Obituary

Timothy Dean Skinner, age 60 of Edina, MO, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024, at his home in Edina, MO.  He was born October 3, 1963, in Macon, MO the son of William Dean and Sharon Lou Martin Skinner.

Surviving are his son Samuel Adrian Skinner (Brandi Carlyle) of Newberry, South Carolina, two daughters, Brooke (Reed) Eskridge of Centralia, MO, and Blaine (Jacob) Pestle of Columbia, MO.  Also surviving are two grandchildren, Carter and Liam Eskridge, one sister Karen Skinner (Darell Athon) of Kirksville, MO, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Tim graduated from Novinger R-1 in 1982. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, even mowing.  He loved to fish, camp, soak up the sun and was an avid arrowhead hunter. He spent his career behind the wheel as a long-haul driver and knew every detour, backroad, highway and road, and could tell you exactly how to get where you needed to go.  He enjoyed classic country music, especially Country Gold with Rowdy Yates.

He married his partner and best friend Rebecca Jill Reed in 1995 in Kirksville, MO.  In 1998, his son Samuel Adrian Skinner was born who he absolutely adored and was proud of his accomplishments. He was also a loving and supportive parent to his daughters, Brooke (Reed) Eskridge of Centralia, MO and Blaine (McQuaid) Pestle of Columbia, MO.

Tim's contagious smile, laugh, and bear hugs will be missed but forever cherished by countless friends, family, and all who loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 18, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. A private family burial will be held at the Mount Tabor Cemetery east of Atlanta, MO immediately following.

Casket bearers will be Samuel Skinner, Tim Couch, David Dorsey Couch, Mike Farrell, Darell Athon, and Kirk Strange.
