Thomas Joseph McEvoy, age 62, of Edina, MO, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015, in Columbia, MO.
He was born March 19, 1953, in Adair County, MO, the son of Glennon Vincent and Mary Jane Berberet McEvoy.
Tom is survived by two sisters Donna Fortenberry and husband Randy of Kirksville, MO, and Debbie Gooden and husband Darrell of Lancaster, MO, one brother James E. McEvoy of Edina, MO, nieces and nephews, Steven, Lori, Brian, Bradley, Nathan, Tyler, Cody and Todd Fortenberry, Mindy Roberts and Melissa Huggins, several great nieces and nephews and one aunt Ruth Ann Berberet of Edina, MO. Tom was preceded in death by his parents Glennon and Mary Jane McEvoy.
Tom received his education at St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Knox County High School Class of 1971. He was engaged in farming northeast of Edina, MO. He had also worked for several years at Wal-Mart and Florsheim Shoe Factory in Kirksville, MO.
Tom was a Yankees and Elvis fan and enjoyed visiting with people.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 A.M. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, in the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, MO. Father Joseph Hoi will officiate the services. Burial will be in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Jack Reardon, Mitchell Penn, John Pinson, Jim Glasgow, Gary Yoakum and Steve Miller.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015, with a Prayer service to be held at 7 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, Edina, MO.
