Sadie Lucille Stoner, age 89, of Edina, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017, in the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO.

She was born April 25, 1928, in Illinois, the daughter of George Roy and Sadie H. Mueller Jones.  She was united in marriage to Walter Bert Stoner on September 4, 1946, in Quincy, IL and he preceded her in death on February 16, 1980.   Sadie was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Walter E. Stoner, three grandchildren, one great grandson, three brothers, two sisters, her father and mother-in-law, one sister-in-law, three brothers-in-law, and several nephews and nieces.

Surviving are one son, Delbert and Rita Stoner of Hurdland, MO, Barbara Norton and Ricky Blevins of Edina, MO, Mary and Lane Novinger of Holts Summit, MO, Cheryl and Clinton Kline of St. Louis, MO, Donna and Russell Otte of Edina, MO, nine grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Sadie was a wife and mother always and for a number of years had a daycare service in her home.  She also volunteered at Edina Head Start for a while.  Sadie loved horses, dogs, birds and angels.  She loved baking cookies for family and friends, reading and spending time with her family.  She was a member of the Edina United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday September 24, 2017, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Reverend Greg Connell will officiate the services.  Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland, MO.  Musical selections will be On The Wings Of A Dove, Old Rugged Cross and Great Speckled Bird.

Casket bearers will be Rick Womack, Chad Snelling, Sam Stoner, Christian Ownbey, Riley Stoner, Joe Duran and Wyatt Paulson.

Visitation will be held Sunday, September 24, 2017, from 1:30 p.m. till time of services at 2:30 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.

Memorials are suggested to the Edina United Methodist Church or the I.O.O.F. Cemetery at Hurdland, MO.
