Obituary

Ruby Marie Davison, age 72, of Garfield, Arkansas formerly of LaBelle, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 18, 2017, in Bentonville, Arkansas.

She was born June 20, 1944, the daughter of Orville and Nellie Strange Garnett.  She was united in marriage to Anthony Goedereis June 9, 1961 and to this union three children were born.  On May 1, 1982, in Keosauqua, Iowa she was married to William E. Davison.  Surviving are her husband William Davison of Garfield, Arkansas, three children, Nick Goedereis of Oklahoma, Michelle (J.D.) Osborn of Garfield, Arkansas, and Lisa (Ted) Glaha of LaBelle, MO, one step-daughter Cindy Davison of Granby, Missouri, one sister Judy (Quentin) Echternkamp of Georgetown, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren, Emily, Jason, Elizabeth, Megan, Kaleb, Nicholas, Doug, Jessica, Mitchel, Amber, Breanna and Cierra and nine great grandchildren.

Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, a twin brother Robert Garnett, a brother Jim Garnett, one sister Shirley Herren and a step-son Matthew Davison.

Ruby received her education in LaBelle and Quincy and received her L.P.N. License from Indian Hills Community College in West Burlington, Iowa in 1977.  Ruby worked as a nurse in the area for many years and retired from the LaBelle Manor.  Ruby enjoyed community activities, gardening, decorating the Park at Christmas, and attending the Colony Flea Market with her concession stand selling Pork Rinds.  She never knew a stranger and always had a kind word and smile for all.  She loved her family and was a wonderful cook.  Ruby had a very strong faith and love for Jesus, she was very devoted to her bible reading and talking about the Lord.  She was a member of the LaBelle Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.  Reverend James Renot will officiate the services.  Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Jason Oaks, Ted Glaha, J.D. Osborn, Kaleb Osborn, Tony Goedereis, Mike English and Bill Waters.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 21, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.

Memorials may be made to the LaBelle Cemetery and may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO, 63447.
