Obituary

Roy Eno Miller, age 95, of Knox City, Missouri, passed away Friday, December 31st, 2010, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
He was born on November 19th, 1915, in Knox City, Missouri, to Riley Berton and Dollie Mae Jett Miller.
Roy was united in marriage to Diamond Doris Walter on June 2nd, 1940, in Kirksville, Missouri. He was a life-long resident of rural Knox City, where he was a grain and livestock farmer. He was always more than willing to help anyone in need; whether it was pulling someone out of a ditch with his tractor or sharing his garden harvest. Some of his hobbies included hunting and curing his own meat. He enjoyed "apple parties," fishing, and taking tractor rides with his grandkids, and happily tolerated "beauty shop" with granddaughters.
Roy is survived by his wife, Doris, as well as sons Donald Roy Miller and wife Marilyn of Knox City, Missouri, Michael Lynn Miller and friend Beverly Ferrara of Knox City, Missouri, and Mark Kevin Miller of Knoxville, Iowa and former wife Mary Beth Miller of Palmyra, Missouri. Roy is also survived by one sister, Clara Baker of Ann Arbor, Michigan; three sisters-in-law, Beulah Turpin and husband Russell of Edina, Missouri; Bonnie Mauck of LaBelle, Missouri; and Millie Hamlin of Edina Missouri. Other survivors include grandkids Kevin Miller & wife Lori of Lewistown, Terry Miller & friend Kate Arnold of Rutledge, Kelly Miller & wife Rachel of Knox City, Amanda Miller & friend Don Borgmeyer of Kirksville, Jimmy Miller & wife Sarah of Knox City, Sherry Baker & husband Curtiss of Kirksville, Candi Harder & husband Dana of Washington, Iowa, Jennifer Hall & husband Kim of Novelty, Brent Franke of Knox City, Michelle Miller & friend Jonah Lewis of Labelle, Melinda Dino & husband Ben of Knoxville, Iowa and Melanie Miller of Knoxville, Iowa, along with 18 Great Grandkids and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Daniel (Danny) Ray Miller; one sister, Leona Miller; one half-sister, Juanita Gowdy; and one half-brother, Warren Parrish.
Visitation will be held at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home on Monday, January 3rd, 2011, from 4 to 8 p.m., with family present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 4th, 2011, with Reverends Doug Wilson and Mike Rash officiating.
Music will be provided by vocalists Mary Beth Miller and Brent Karhoff, and pianist Carol Hayes. Musical selections will include "Sweet Bye and Bye," "Suppertime," and "Almost Home." Burial will be at the Colony Cemetery.
Casket Bearers include Jimmy, Kevin, Terry, Kelly, and Anthony Miller, Brent Franke, Ben Dino, Jonah Lewis, Curtiss Baker, Luke Morrow, and Dana Harder.
Honorary Bearers include John C. Miller, Vic Miller, Fred Layman, Leland Ewalt, Ronald Sayres, Jim Sullivan, Dan Sullivan, Verlin Tonnies, John David Huber, Jason Runquist, and Bill Davis.
