Obituary

Rosy (Rose) Mond Walker, age 89, of Knox City, MO, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2011, in Bowling Green, MO.
She was born in Knox County, MO, the daughter of Jennie Bessie Stephens Heincy.
On January 12, 1936, she was united in marriage to Luey Thomas Walker and he preceded her in death on July 7, 1997.
Rose was also preceded in death by her mother, and three brothers, George, Robert Fouch, and Elvin Audry (Jack) Heincy.
Surviving are two children Larry Walker and wife Marilyn of Knox City, Missouri, and Louise Hunter and husband Don of Bowling Green, MO, three grandchildren, Lee Thomas Walker, Bobbi Lynn Walker and Lesa Michelle Smith and husband Bradley Allen Smith, four great grandchildren, Nathan Allen smith, Joshua Louis Smith, Tyler Hawkins and Traci Hawkins, and several nieces and nephews.
Rose lived all her life in Knox County where she received her education in rural schools. She and her husband were engaged in farming north of Knox City, MO most of their life. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church at Knox City, MO and in her earlier years attended the Knox City Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, flowers, gardening, horses, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday June 12, 2011, at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Doug Wilson will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery.
Musical selections will be "How Great Thou Art" and "Holes In the Floor Of Heaven".
Casket bearers will be Josh smith, Nathan Smith, Sam Clary, Lane Clary, Danny Clary and Ethan Clary. Honorary bearers will be Roberta Keller and Deanna Moyhan.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 12, 2011, from 12 noon till time of services at 2 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
Memorials may be made to Knox City Baptist Church of Knox City Cemetery. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.
