Ronald Lee Kinsel, age 48, of Rocheport, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2010, near his home at Rocheport, Missouri.
He was born November 11, 1961, at Edina, Missouri, the son of Fred Lee and Eileen TenEyck Kinsel.
Ron is survived by his father Fred Kinsel of Edina, Missouri, four brothers, Randy Kinsel and wife Melody and their daughter Kristy of Rogers, Arkansas; James Kinsel and wife Brenda and their daughter Hillary and son Alex of Maywood, Missouri; Barry Kinsel and wife Bonnie and their son Jordan of Hannibal, Missouri; Stephen Kinsel of Rogers, Arkansas; one sister, Kathleen Booth and husband Jeremy, and their daughter Jillian and son Corbin of Louisiana, Missouri; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ron was preceded in death by his mother Eileen Kinsel.
Ron grew up in Edina, Missouri, where he received his education at St. Joseph Elementary School and graduated from Knox County High School in 1980. He attended the Phoenix Institute of Technology, moved to Houston, Texas, in 1981 and in 1995 moved to Columbia, Missouri. Ron was employed with Joe Machen's Auto Dealership in Columbia, Missouri, as a BMW Master Technician and won numerous adwards from BMW of North America, including trips to Australia and Germany.
Ron loved nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, boating, cooking, grilling, NASCAR and was an avid Mizzou Fan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Edina, Missouri. Father Joseph Hoi will officiate the services. Music will be provided by Jim and Kyle Clark.
Visitation will be held Friday, November 12, 2010, after 4 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
A prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, at the Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Sam Smith.
