Robert D McKim, Sr. age 47 of Durham, MO passed away early Tuesday morning, September 30, 2014 at his residence.
Born July 12, 1967 in Quincy, IL he was a son of Robert LeRoy and Lela Bernice Garrett McKim.
Surviving are his father, Robert LeRoy McKim and wife Addie of LaGrange, MO; five brothers and sisters: Virginia Aldridge and husband, Shawn of Greentop, MO, Patricia McKim of Durham, MO, Brenda Cady and husband, Keith of Greentop, MO, Jimmie Dean Head and fiancé Sarah Baker of Hurdland, MO and Robert LeRoy McKim, Jr. of Quincy, IL; a step-father, Howard J. Garrett and wife, Wanda of LaPlata, MO; three daughters: Emily Cowles, Heather Tasco and fiancé, Joshua Shaffer of LaGrange, MO and Kayla Mostrom of Crete, NE; one son, Little Robert McKim of Iowa; three grandsons: Ryan and Noah Tasco and Isaac Shaffer; several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lela McKim; one niece, Charity McKim, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Robert grew up in Knox County, MO where he attended school. By trade he was a carpenter, tree trimmer and all around handy man. He was a volunteer at the Durham Community Center and was always ready to help others. He was a free spirit that enjoyed travelling, fishing and hunting. Robert also enjoyed having a good time with his family and friends.
