Robert "Bobby" Harvey Minear, 61, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025 in Columbia, MO surrounded by loved ones.

He was born on July 8, 1964, to Bruce and Mary Ellen Hinkson Minear, Bobby grew up on his family's farm where his love for agriculture took shape early. Farming wasn't just an occupation for him—it was a way of life that shaped his character, work ethic, and the community he loved.

In his professional life, Bobby devoted himself to the agricultural industry. Over the years, he was a hardworking and loyal employee at HeetCo, Kempe Farms, and MFA, where his reputation as a reliable and experienced farmer was well respected.

On March 27, 1993, Bobby married the love of his life, Karen Lee Loyd. Together they built a strong and loving home, raising two sons who were his pride and joy: William "Will" Robert Minear (Claire) of Ashland, MO, and Samuel "Sam" Benjamin Minear (Carrie) of Macon, MO. Bobby would do anything for his boys, and alongside Karen, he created a childhood full of memories that will be cherished forever.

He was the proud grandfather of three grandchildren who were the joy of his life: Evelyn Jane Minear, his "princess", Henry Samuel Minear, his "wild man", and Hudson Bruce Minear, his "boo boo". He was the best "Pa Paw" and loved spending time with his grandbabies.

He is also survived by his siblings, Kathy (Phil) Livesay of Hannibal, MO, Anne Minear of Kirksville, MO, and Jimmy (Teri) Minear of Glenwood, MO, one sister-in-law, Charlene Loyd "Aunt C" of Jefferson City, MO, along with a multitude of nieces and nephews who cherished him deeply.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Mary Ellen Minear, and his in-laws, William and Norma Loyd.

Bobby had a passion for collecting toy tractors, pedal tractors, and especially John Deere and Allis Chalmers. He was a loyal Kansas City Chiefs fan and never missed the chance to cheer them on. Bobby enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting.  As a longtime volunteer 4-H leader, Bobby dedicated countless hours to mentoring and guiding youth, leaving a lasting impact on his community.

Bobby was known for his open garage door policy. If someone visited as a stranger, they left as a family member. With food on the grill and a cold beer in the fridge, Bobby had a way of making everyone feel welcomed. Simply put, he was one of the good ones.

His life was a testament to hard work, generosity, and love of family. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The Minear household has always been—and will continue to be—a place where friendships are strengthened, memories are made, and Bobby's famous phrases live on.
