Obituary

Ray Stanley Easley, age 68, of Leonard, Missouri, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri.
He was born October 28, 1942, rural Novelty, Missouri, the son of Grover Aurra and Dora Elmina Perry Easley.
Ray was united in marriage to Carol Sue Roth on October 9, 1965 at Pilot Grove, Missouri and to this union five children were born.
Surviving are his five children, Rhonda Suzanne Easley of Kirksville, Missouri, Warren Ray Easley and wife Michelle of Kirksville, Missouri, Erica Lee Turley and husband Matt of Carlinville, Illinois, Brian David Easley and wife Amy of Mexico, Missouri, and Kristopher Scott Easley and wife Jennifer of Baring, Missouri, five brothers and sisters, Mary B. Ross of Edina, Missouri, Perry G. Easley and wife Laura of Kirksville, Missouri, Leroy A. Easley and wife Sandra of Novelty, Missouri, Shirley A. Dobbs and husband Bill of Hurdland, Missouri, and Kathryn L. Whitlock of Anchorage, Alaska, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
Ray was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.
Ray was a graduate of Novelty High School at Novelty, Missouri. He served in the United States Army National Guard for eight years. Ray farmed, hunted, and fished with his family in the Novelty area his whole life.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2011, at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Reverend Mike Wilson will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Locust Hill Cemetery.
Musical selections will be "Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden".
Casket bearers will be his nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, May 22, 2011, after 4 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, Missouri, 63537.
