Phyllis Jeanne Jeffries, age 71, of Lewistown, MO, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014, in the Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown, MO.
She was born in Kewanee, IL, on August 30, 1943, the daughter of Curtis Paul and Virgie Beatrice Dosier Kitch.
She was united in marriage to Jere Robert Jeffries in 1965 at Lewistown, MO. Surviving are her husband Jere Robert Jeffries of Lewistown, MO, one son Jere Curtis Jeffries of Lewistown, MO and several cousins.
Mrs. Jeffries received her education in Lewis County, MO where she graduated from Lewistown High School. She was employed for several nursing homes in the area for several years and was employed as club manager at Three Pines Golf Course for several years.
Phyllis Jeanne was an avid cat collector and enjoyed bingo. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Lewistown American Legion Post # 578 Ladies Auxiliary.
Graveside memorial services will be held 2 PM Thursday, October 30, 2014, in the Steffenville Cemetery. Reverend Ted Middleton will officiate the services. There will be no visitation.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.
