Phillip Wesley Gragg age 74 of Edina, MO passed away Thursday morning, January 9, 2025 at the Knox County Nursing Home at Edina, MO.

Born July 8, 1950 in Edina, MO he was the son of Donald Wesley and Peggy Jean Blake Gragg.  On November 13, 1971 in Jackson, MO he was united in marriage to Wanda Kay Dickerson who survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Peggy J. Motter of Kirksville; his son, Todd Gragg and Tammy of Excelsior Springs, MO; two grandsons, Tate and Tucker Gragg; two sisters, Dianna Schaefer and John of Macon, MO and Sharon Crook and Terry of Kirksville, MO and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father on April 30, 1992.

Phil graduated in 1968 from the Knox County High School.  After graduation he honorably served his country in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.  Phil was employed by Early Implement of Edina as a mechanic.  He later become the bus mechanic for the Knox County R-I School District retiring after twenty-two years of dedication.

Phil loved the outdoors; he enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He was a member of the Knox County Memorial Post #4822 VFW of Edina.  He had served as commander of the post and spent hours on fund raising projects.  He was also very active in the NEMO Bow and Gun Club of Edina and was a member of the Edina Methodist Church.  He especially enjoyed the time spent with his family and many friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the funeral home.  Burial with military honors will be at the Linville Cemetery at Edina.
