Obituary

Peachy Eleanora Jane Tolson, age 77, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009, at her residence in Edina, Missouri.
She was born June 6, 1932, at Lewis, County, Missouri the daughter of Melvin Lewis and George Ellen Clay Hawkins.
Surviving are her dear companion Lewis Haselwood of Edina, Missouri, six children, Josephine Wright and husband Joe of Macon, Missouri, Mary Wright of Columbia, Missouri, Schela Enyard of Macon, Missouri, Brenda Minter of Las Vegas, Nevada, Edward Minter and wife Penny of Macon, Missouri and Leaetta Magruder and husband Roy of Macon, Missouri, one brother, Melvin Lewis Hawkins, Jr., of Des Moines, Iowa, three sisters Abba Range of Zion, Illinois, Leona Enyard of Denton, Texas, and Georgia Hawkins of Quincy, Illinois, grandchildren, Joe Jr. and John Wright, Jeri Yancy, Agedria Carter, Lee and Aaron Wright, Spanky Nash, Kristin and Felton Enyard, Tremone Minter, Kurtis and Maryah Hobbs, Demetre and Craig Hicks, and Damon Magruder, numerous great and great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Eleanora received her education in Knox County, Missouri. She was a certified CNA/CMT and had been employed as a nursing assistant for several years in LaBelle and Kirksville, Missouri. She was the first Home Health Aide in Kirksville, Missouri and had also been employed as a nutrition aide at Macon, Missouri. She was instrumental in the opening of the Clothes Closet in Edina and was a member and treasurer of the Bee Ridge United Methodist Church.
Eleanora loved reading, Angels, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Monday, December 14, 2009, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Reverend Sam Smith will officiate the services assisted by Reverend Michael Kelp and Reverend James Salter. Eulogy will be by Zonia Clay. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery.
Music will be provided by Demetre Hicks selections will be "How Great Thou Art", "The Last Mile of The Way", "Precious Lord" and "Many Rivers To Cross".
Casket bearers will be Kyle Clay, Ordello Tasco, John Clauson Miller, Kim Smith, Roy Lewis, Randy Parton, Stanley Bradley, Sr. Stanley Bradley, Jr., Donald Glover and Bill Eyman.
Honorary bearers will be her Grandsons.
Visitation will be Sunday, December 13, 2009, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
