Pauline Dawson, age 93, of Ewing, MO, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, in Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown, MO.
She was born February 17, 1923, in Shelby County, MO, the daughter of Robert A. and Nellie Redman Darley.
She was united in marriage to Francis Lee Cleatice Dawson on November 25, 1942, in Hannibal, MO and he preceded her in death on April 25, 2015. Pauline was also preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Geraldine Dawson.
Surviving are two sons, Larry Lee Dawson and wife Virgie Lee of Steffenville, MO, Dennis James Dawson and wife Kathy Lee of Ewing, MO, one granddaughter Leann Jensen and husband Andrew of Grimes, IA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Pauline received her education in Steffenville where she graduated from High School. Pauline and her husband resided most of their life in the Steffenville area where they were engaged in farming and raising cattle. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Pauline enjoyed cake decorating, ceramics, crocheting, quilting, cooking, gardening and spending time with her family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Pastor S.D. Bodwell will officiate the services. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery.
Music will be provided by Erin Wright singing, "How Great Thou Art" and a recorded selection "Where the Roses Never Fade".
Casket bearers will be Justin Dawson, Jake Hedges, Donald Dawson, Jim Mullenix, Richard Porter and James Schroder. Honorary bearers will be Sam Knoche, Billy Knoche, Kent Whitlatch, Tom Kitch, Justin Getz and Dwayne Jones.
Visitation will be held after Sunday, April 24, 2016, after 4 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.
