Patricia Gay Peterson, age 62 of Knox City, MO, passed away Monday, January 20, 2014, in the Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.
She was born in Quincy, IL on June 9, 1951, the daughter of Bruce and Gloria Hopps McMullen. She was united in marriage to William George Peterson on July 1, 1968, at Peoria, IL.
Surviving are her husband William George Peterson of Knox City, MO, three children, Misty Buckman and husband John of Burlington, IA, Michele Randall and husband Glenn of Newark, MO, and Matthew Peterson of Knox City, MO, five brothers and sisters, Mark McMullen, Bill McMullen, Judy Babcock and husband David, Mike Johnson and Scott Johnson all of Peoria, IL, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces, and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents.
Patricia received her education in Peoria, IL. She was a housewife and homemaker. She and her husband Bill lived all their life in the Peoria, IL area before moving to Knox City eleven years ago. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, her dogs and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She attended the Christ Lutheran Church in Peoria, IL.
Patricia will be cremated and Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2014, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Reverend Mike Hopps will officiate the services. Music will be the recorded selection "Beautiful".
