Patricia "Patsy" Ann Bronson age 76, of Mc Alester, Oklahoma formerly of LaBelle, Missouri, died Wednesday, September 1, 2010, in a Lawton Care Center in Lawton, Oklahoma.
She was born in LaBelle, Missouri on April 9, 1934, the daughter of Herschel L. and Louise A, Redding.
She married John L. Bronson, 1956 in La Belle, Missouri. She taught school in Saint Louis, Missouri, Tulsa, Oklahoma and retired from the McAlester School system where she was known as 'Sarge'.
She was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in McAlester. She was a member of Paneletic. She enjoyed Knitting, Crocheting and Sewing, especially American Girl Doll Clothes.
She even taught crocheting to the inmates at McAlester State Prison. She loved to read a good mystery and work jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her children, Tricia Bronson of Lawton, Oklahoma and Richard Bronson of Wichita Falls, Texas and her granddaughter Hallie Bronson of Mustang, Oklahoma, and several cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, September 4, 2010, at the LaBelle Cemetery in LaBelle, Missouri. Reverend Maynard Blackwood will officiate the services.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri.
