Norvin Ray Buswell, age 53, of Payson, IL formerly of Newark, MO passed away Friday, July 28, 2023, at his home in Payson.

He was born December 24, 1969, in Quincy, IL the son of Norbert Eldon and Ruth M. Tournear Buswell.

Norvin and his father have lived for the past several years in Payson, IL.  Norvin attended several churches including Newark Baptist Church, Assembly of God Camp Point, IL, Bethel Assembly of God, Faith Assembly of God and River of Life Church all of Quincy, IL, Shelbina Baptist Church and the Payson Southern Baptist Church in Payson, IL.  Norvin was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed various other sports.

Surviving are several cousins and close friends.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, August 3, 2023, in the Newark Cemetery, Newark, MO.   There will be no visitation.   Officiating the services will be Reverend John Gross.
