Obituary

Nancy Ellen Gaus, age 56, of LaBelle, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Illinois.
She was born October 20, 1954, in Kirksville, Missouri, the daughter of Leo Ellis and Loretta Ruth Balfour Walter.
She was united in marriage to Steve Edwards on June 17, 1972, and to this union three children were born. On December 30, 1995, in LaBelle, Missouri she was united in marriage to Phillip Gaus.
Surviving are her husband Phillip of LaBelle, Missouri, three daughters, Melissa Lambrecht and husband Kenny of Queen City, Missouri, Angela Meyer and husband Matt of Quincy, Illinois, Kimberley Bartz and husband Shawn of Knox City, Missouri, two step-sons, John Gaus and wife Crystal of Canton, Missouri, Chris Gaus and fiancée Lindsey Thompson of Quincy, Illinois, one step-daughter Tawny Gaus of Lewistown, Missouri, one brother William Eugene Walter of LaBelle, Missouri, one sister Diana Jo Wilson and husband Sam of LaBelle, Missouri, seven grandchildren, eleven step grandchildren, several aunts, one uncle and several cousins.
Nancy attended school at Gorin, Missouri and graduated from Highland High School in 1972. Nancy was employed for several years with her aunt Bonnie Mauck at Maucks Restaurant in LaBelle, Missouri and was employed nineteen years for Kraft Foods at Kirksville, Missouri as an operation technician. Nancy enjoyed St. Louis Cardinals Baseball, traveling, flowers, and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the First Christian Church of LaBelle.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Friday, April 1, 2011, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri. Pastor Tim smith and Pastor Joe Jorgensen will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Lewistown Cemetery. Music will be provided by Mary Beth Miller. Musical selections will be "How do I Help You Say Goodbye", "Keep In Mind" and "In The Arms of An Angel".
Casket bearers will be Daniel S. Howe, Scott Wilson, Robert Walter, Richard Mauck, Billy McVay and David Kinney.
Honorary bearers will be Dylan Howe, Dalton Howe, Brianna Frink, Taylor Frink, Logan Frink and Brittney Rudd.
Visitation will be held Thursday, March 31, 2011, after 4 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of LaBelle, Missouri. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, Missouri, 63447.
