Michael Lee "Mike" Kinsel, age 64 of Edina, MO passed away at his home, Monday evening, November 27, 2023.

Mike was born February 20, 1959 in Kirksville, MO to Howard Louis and Betty Jean Reed Kinsel.

Surviving are his sister, Debra Kay Payton of Quincy, IL; one nephew, Kevin and Jessica Payton of Ewing, MO;  two great nephews and one great niece, Dennis Chase Payton, Kaley KayLynn Payton and Parker James Payton and close friends, Phillip Spory, Von Snow, Wayne Ray, Kim Smith and Richard Hettinger

He was preceded in death by his parents, uncles and aunts.

Mike graduated from the Knox County R-I High School in 1977.  He worked at Northeast MO CO OP for a number of years, operated Howard's Body Shop and in 1999 opened Kinsel Oil and Tire in Edina.  He liked mowing and tinkering with trucks.  He was of the Christian faith and enjoyed his friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m.

Rev. Graig Connell will officiate.  Burial of the cremains will be at a later time in Linville Cemetery at Edina, MO.

Memorials in memory of Mike may be made to the Linville Cemetery, the Knox County Nutrition Center or to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.  The memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.
