Michael Allen Hamlin, age 75 of Edina, MO passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2026 in Columbia, MO. He was born in Kirksville, MO on March 18, 1951, the son of Ralph Allen and Mildred Walter Hamlin. He was united in marriage to Roma Turpin in 1973 and to this union two sons were born Michael Shane Hamlin and Ronald Allen Hamlin. On December 26, 1986 in Edina, MO he was united in marriage to Theresa Allen.

Surviving are his wife, Theresa Hamlin of Edina, MO, his mother, Mildred Hamlin of Edina, MO, four children, Michael Shane (Stephanie) Hamlin of LaBelle, MO, Ronald Allen (Angie) Hamlin of Ewing, MO, Amy Louise (Edward) Garrett of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Allen Travis Hamlin of Edina, MO, one brother Daryl Hamlin of Midland, TX, one sister Terry (Tony) Ewalt of Edina, MO, seven grandchildren, Emily, Macy, and Isabella Hamlin, Greyson and Ella Garrett, Kaysleigh and Brynleigh Hamlin, a sister-in-law Sonya Allen of Edina, MO, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1996, his father and mother-in-law Dick and Martinia Allen, a brother-in-law, Steve Allen, a nephew, Logan Allen and several aunts and uncles.

Mike was raised in Gorin, MO where he attended school and graduated from Knox County High School in 1969. Mike was a truck driver and drove for various trucking companies; he then began driving for Cardwell Lumber and Cardwell-Noe Trucking for many years. Mike was a member of Greensburg Masonic Lodge # 414 A.F. & A.M., Kirksville Chapter # 184 Order Of The Eastern Star and attended the Edina Assembly Of God Church.

Mike never knew a stranger. He loved visiting with strangers at truck stops and spending time at the coffee shop visiting with friends. He raised quarter horses, enjoyed antiques, westerns and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 22, 2026, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Visitation will begin Monday at 1 p.m. and services will begin at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Officiating will be Reverend Brian Burton.

Casket bearers will be Travis Hamlin, Steve Howard, John Gilbert, Chris Hamlin, Mike Peavler, and Virgil Doss. Honorary bearers will be Mike Farris, Steve Hofstetter, Tom Hamlin, Leroy Cardwell, Harley Hamlin and Larry Hamlin.
