Melvin "Frizz" E. Pontnack, age 75, Mt. Morris, IL, died Thursday October 2, 2014, in Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL. Melvin Was Born November 10, 1938, in Freeport, IL the son of Earl & Irene (Trester) Pontnack. Frizz married Carol Nystrom August 17, 1995 in Dollar City, MO. Avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Nascar, word finds, camping, loved by many and sharing stories. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, IL and member of the Mt. Morris Moose Lodge #1551.
Frizz is survived by his wife: Carol Pontnack, Mt. Morris, IL; Son: Steve Pontnack, Dixon, IL. 3 Brothers and 4 Sisters, 11 Step-Children including a step daughter Teri Engelbrecht of Edina, MO, numerous Grand Children and Great Grandchildren including Eric, Gregory, Katrina, April, Johnnie and Joseph Engelbrecht and two great grandchildren Laithen Engelbrecht and Weston Lewis. Frizz is preceded in death by his parents, a wife Ardith Kay Pontnack, 1 Brother, 1 Sister and a daughter.
Frizz resided in Mt. Morris, IL and for several years resided in Rutledge, MO.
Frizz's celebration of Life will be on Thursday October 9, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. in St. James Lutheran Church, Forreston, IL. Visitation will be in St. James Lutheran Church October 9, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until service Time.
