Mary V. Michel Graham, age 87, of LaBelle, MO, passed away Monday, March 26, 2012, at her residence in LaBelle, MO. She was born April 12, 1924, at LaBelle, MO, the daughter of Ray and Mary Dedrick Miller. She was united in marriage to Lyle Michel at Palmyra, MO on February 15, 1942 to this union three children were born. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1984. On December 28, 1988, she was married to Clyde Graham and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1999. Mary was also preceded in death by her parents, mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Neta Michel and sisters Marjorie June Morrow and Billie Allison.
Surviving are three children, Sandra Kaye Hall and husband Ernie of Novelty, MO, Randy Michel and wife Sandy of LaBelle, MO, and David Michel and wife Betty of LaBelle, MO, grandchildren, Tina Behrmann of Kirksville, MO, James Dawson and wife Jennifer of Donnelson, Iowa, Gayla Sandstrom and husband Ray of Novinger, MO, Marsha Michel of Colorado, Gena Kraus of LaBelle, MO, Troy and Sandy Neisen of Lenexa, KS, Warren and Kelly Pratt of Overland Park, KS, Chad and Lynn Neisen of Carona, CA, Tara Neisen of LaBelle, MO, Andy Michel of LaBelle, MO, Amy Peters and husband Brett of LaBelle, MO, great grandchildren, Joseph Behrmann, Courtney Dawson, Elizabeth Dawson, Emily Dawson, Christopher Sandstrom, Thad Neisen, Tiffany Neisen, Jordan Neisen, Nick Neisen, Kaylee McKenzie, Brianna Murphy, Porter Peters, one aunt Dorothy Ruppel of Quincy, IL and a sister-in-law Geraldine Daak of Lewistown, MO.
Mary attended Lewis County rural schools and graduated from LaBelle High School. She and her husband were engaged in farming south of LaBelle, MO for several years. She was employed as a Postal Clerk at the Post Office in LaBelle. She enjoyed quilting, cross stitching, working in the flower garden, making flower arrangements, and most of all spending time with her family. She was a member of the LaBelle First Christian Church.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2012, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Reverend Maynard Blackwood and Reverend Bill Nigus will officiate the services. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery. Musical selections will be "Old Rugged Cross" and "Wind Beneath My Wings".
Casket bearers will be Rodney Freeman, David Hatfield, Kevin Parrish, Brett Peters, Andy Michel and David Parrish.
Honorary bearers will be Bob Keough, Bonnie Mauck, Sarah Freeman and Elvin Parrish.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, after 4 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.
