Mary Jo Hamilton, age 90, of LaBelle, Missouri, passed away Monday, December 7, 2009, in the LaBelle Manor Care Center at LaBelle, Missouri. She was born April 9, 1919, north of LaBelle, Missouri, the daughter of Rob and Nellie McReynolds Bone. She was united in marriage to William Ayers Hamilton on October 7, 1939 and he preceded her in death on June 2, 1993. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David and Bill Bone, one sister Phyllis Walker and a daughter Carolyn in infancy. Surviving are two daughters, Jolene Wood and husband Roger of Schererville Indiana, Marlene Myers and husband Kent of Knox City, Missouri, one son, Bill Hamilton and wife Jolynn of LaBelle, Missouri, nine grandchildren, Staci Grapenthien and husband Steve of Munster, Indiana, Jeff Wood and wife Karen of Bradenton, Florida, Todd Myers and wife Alicia of Knox City, Missouri, Angelia Myers of Quincy, Illinois, Bret Hamilton of Columbia, Missouri, great grandchildren, Will and Cooper Grapenthien, Mitchell and Blake Wood, Amber Hayes, Brooklyn, Zach and Kaydee Myers, one sister Roberta Fishback and husband James of Monroe City, Missouri and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mrs. Hamilton was a graduate of LaBelle High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church in LaBelle, Missouri. She was also a 64 year member of the American Legion auxiliary, a 51 year member of LaBelle Eastern Star Chapter # 316, a member of the LaBelle Red Hat Belles, and a member of the Sorosis Club and the LaBelle Depot Restoration Committee. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 10, 2009, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri. Reverend John Gorham will officiate the services. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery. Music will be provided by Reverend John Gorham, soloist and Carol Hayes, organist. Musical selections will be "Amazing Grace" and "Peace In the Valley". Casket bearers will be Donnie Bradshaw, Steve Whiteaker, Jim Fishback, Joe McReynolds, Jim Lasswell, and Greg Doscher. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 9, 2009, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri. Memorials in memory of Mary Jo Hamilton may be made to the LaBelle Nutrition Center or the LaBelle Manor. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O.
