Mary Burnell Ethridge, age 87, of LaBelle, MO, passed away Monday, May 7, 2012, in the LaBelle Manor Care in LaBelle, MO. She was born November 30, 1924, in Novelty, MO the daughter of Henry A. and Nellie M. Bradley Franke. Mrs. Ethridge received her education in Gorin, LaBelle and Edina, MO. She worked several years at the Glove factory in Edina, farmed north of LaBelle, and was employed at Phillip Ross United Egg and Poultry in LaBelle, MO. She owned and operated the Golden Belle Restaurant and Motel in LaBelle for over twenty years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of LaBelle and enjoyed cooking, flowers, gardening and Blue Grass music.
Surviving are several cousins, and special friends Bud Crank and Barb Heins and husband Melvin both of LaBelle, MO.
Burnell will be cremated and Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Reverend Maynard Blackwood will officiate the services. Burial will be at a later date in the LaBelle Cemetery. Musical selections will be "Will There Be Any Blue Grass in Heaven", "Family Bible" and "In The Garden".
Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Thursday, May 10, 2012, till time of services at 10 a.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.
