Mary Frances Benson, age 87, of LaBelle, Missouri, passed away Friday, January 21, 2011, at Country Aire Retirement Estates at Lewistown, Missouri.
She was born March 24, 1923, at Roseville, Illinois, the daughter of Fred and Leona Norville Landon. She was united in marriage to Doyle O. Benson on November 21, 1942, at Palmyra, Missouri.
Surviving are her husband Doyle O. Benson of LaBelle, Missouri, two children, Francis Benson and wife Mitzi of Lewistown, Missouri, Phyllis Boudreau and husband Pete of Farmington, Iowa, four grandchildren, Kevin Benson and wife Shelia, Kelly Cox and husband David, Chad Boudreau and wife Stacy, and Angela Appleman and husband Cam, nine great grandchildren, Kaitlin Benson, Kyle Benson, Kegan Brown, Megan Brown, Caleb Cox, Quincy Boudreau, Carley Boudreau, Carson Boudreau and Zeb Appleman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.
Mrs. Benson was a housewife and homemaker. She was engaged in farming with her husband in Illinois till 1955, when they moved to Lewis County and farmed in the Steffenville area until their retirement in 1991. Mary loved farming and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri. Pastor Olivia Earlywine will officiate the services. Music will be provided by Myrna Wear, soloist. Musical selections will be Old Rugged Cross, On Eagles Wings, Bless Be The Ties That Bind. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery.
Casket bearers will be Kevin Benson, Chad Boudreau, Cameron Appleman, Kegan Brown, David Cox, Pete Boudreau.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9 a.m. till time of services at 11 a.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri.
