Obituary

Marsha Ann "Annie" Ewalt age 60 of the Heartland Community near Bethel, MO passed away early Tuesday morning, June 12, 2012 at the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.
The daughter of Byron and Eva Lena House Ewalt she was born, May 15, 1952 at Gibson Hospital in Edina, MO.
Annie received her education at the Pleasant Valley Rural School in Knox County, the Edina Public School and graduated from the Knox County High School. Ms. Ewalt had been employed as a receptionist, a manager of a storage facility in Kansas City, MO, she also resided and worked in Cape Girardeau, MO and Bloomfield, IA. After moving to the Edina area she did house cleaning for a number of people. Upon moving to the Heartland Community she worked at the Solid Rock Café. Annie was very artistic; she enjoyed interior decorating, cooking, flowers, gardening and the outdoors.
Surviving is her father, Byron F. Ewalt of Edina, MO; one brother, Marshall Lynn Ewalt and his wife, Beverly of St. Peters, MO and one niece, Sarah Ann Ewalt also of St. Peters, MO. Annie is also survived by her friends and family members including those at the Heartland Community.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Eva Lena Ewalt; grandparents, Fred and Rae Ewalt and Bill and Olive House and five uncles, John Arthur Ewalt, Charles William Ewalt, William D. See, Ralph Agee and Oscar Pemberton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 15, 2012 at the Heartland Community Church near Bethel, MO. Pastor Charles Sharpe will officiate the services. Music will be provided by Daniel Bock and Dan and Felicity White. Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery at Knox City, Missouri. Casket bearers will be Lynn Douglas, Tony Ewalt, Mike Fox, Bobby Mauck, Wayne Harrell, Jim Dick, Clint Miller and James Hicks.
Friends may call after 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at the Heartland Community Church with family receiving friends 6 – 8 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home of Edina, MO.
