Mildred Madeline Buford age 92 of Edina, Missouri passed away Thursday morning, December 5, 2013 at the Knox County Nursing Home at Edina, MO.
She was born October 2, 1021 in Lewis County, MO, the daughter of Milton Scott and Della Hawkins Cooper.
On September 20, 1944 at Gorin, MO, she was united in marriage to Woodrow W. Buford who preceded her in death on September 27, 2003.
Mrs. Burford is survived by several cousins, including Elmer C. Hawkins of Decatur, IL, Gordon Cooper and Mary Bennett both of Aledo, IL.
Madeline was raised north of LaBelle, MO in the Deer Ridge Community where she attended Dare rural school, Colony school and graduated from LaBelle High School in 1941. Madeline was a housewife and homemaker. She and her husband had resided in Edina since 1944.
Madeline was a member of the First Baptist Church in Edina, MO.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 9, 2013 at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Rev. John Bode will officiate the services. Musical selections will be "How Great Thou Art" and "Amazing Grace. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery at LaBelle, MO.
Visitation will be held after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013 until the time of services at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina.
