Louis Francis Hudson, age 93 of Wyaconda, MO passed away, Tuesday, November 5, 2024 at the Knox County Nursing Home at Edina, MO.

Born April 13, 1931 in Baring, MO he was a son of Francis Earl and Pauline Catherine Swann Hudson. On August 18, 1954 in Burlington, IA he was united in marriage to Wilda M. "Bill" Hustead who preceded him in death on April 13, 2007.

Surviving are a son, Kim L. Hudson and Angie of LaBelle, MO; a daughter, Wendy S. May and Russell of Ewing, MO, two sisters, Mildred Rhoades and Ronald of Knox City, MO and Linda Douglas and Ron of Kirksville, MO; one brother-in-law, Elza Dale Hustead of Edina, MO; nine grandchildren, Michael Shane Hudson, Amanda Jo Harris and Charles, Kayla Laura Schachtsiek and Frederick, Pamela Sue May, Joshua Dale May and Tonia, Jeremy Francis Hudson, Lucas Bill Hudson and Jennifer, Emily Marie Hudson and Colton Lynn, Lydia Ann Morris and Charles; several great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents, a son, Larry Francis Hudson; a brother, Paul Raymond Hudson; a sister, Margie Parris and two infants.

After graduation from Edina High School in 1949 he served in the United States Navy; serving during the Korean Conflict from 1951 through 1955.  Upon discharged from the Navy he become engaged in farming East of Colony, MO.  He enjoyed coyote hunting, fishing and hummingbirds.  Most of all he enjoyed the time spent with his grandchildren, family, friends, and his best buddy a healer, Rowdy.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, November 8, 2024 at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.  Reverend Doug Wilson will officiate the services.  Musical selections will be "Amazing Grace", "I Saw God Today" and "Take My Hand Precious Lord".

Visitation will be held prior to the service on Friday from noon until the time of the service at 2:00 PM.

Burial with Military Graveside Honors will be at the Colony Cemetery, Colony, MO.  Casket bearers will be Michael Shane Hudson, Lucas Hudson, Jeremy Hudson, Remington May, Ethan Hustead, Dillon Hoffman and Putnam Harris.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the American Heart Association.  The memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO 63447
