Loise Maxine Nichols, age 89, of Williamstown, MO, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2013, in St. Louis, MO. She was born August 1, 1924, at Deer Ridge, MO, the son of Emer Lewis and Lucy Alberta Vice Morrow. She was united in marriage to Reuben Clayton Nichols, on may 19, 1956, at Keokuk, IA and he preceded her in death in 1969.
Maxine was also preceded in death by her parents, two step children, Sarah Smallwood and Harold Nichols, brothers Roy Otis, Harold and Vance Morrow, sisters, Dema Carlson, Betty Brocksmith, and Alberta Harvey, half brothers Wayne, Ivan and Wilbur Morrow, sisters and brothers-in-law Maureen Morrow, Walter Carlson, Jr., Marjorie Morrow, Eugene Webster, Leon Brocksmith, and half sisters-in-law Ruth Morrow, Roxie Morrow and Icie Morrow.
Surviving are one daughter, Karen Gail Bradshaw and husband Ralph of Williamstown, MO, two stepsons, Lawrence E. Nichols of Canton, MO, and Ralph L. Nichols and wife Sandra of Williamstown, MO, one brother Cecil Morrow of LaBelle, MO, one sister Dorothy Webster of Kahoka, MO, step-grandchildren, Jennalie Blackwood, Lauralie Bradshaw, Aaron Bradshaw, Chris (Tonja) Nichols, Victoria (Shawn) Schorr, Theodore (Deanna) Nichols, Barbara (Donald) Sparks, Michael Shultz, Debbie (Marty) Sommers, Daniel (Amy) Shultz, Christine Eversole and Tim Smallwood, sixteen step great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Nichols received her education in the Walker rural school. She resided in the Deer Ridge and Williamstown area all her life. Maxine enjoyed woodworking, word puzzles, dancing, decorating her home. She was an in home care giver for many years and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Reverend Rob Quillin will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Ballard Cemetery north of Williamstown, MO. Musical selections will be One Day At A Time, Old Rugged Cross and In the Garden.
Casket bearers will be Steve Webster, Chris Nichols, Theodore Nichols, Andrew Heisz, Aaron Bradshaw and Chris Smith.
Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 17, 2013, with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
