Obituary

Lois Darlene (Hustead) Lynn, age 78, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri.
She was born March 11, 1932, south of Edina, Missouri, the daughter of Lewis Frank and Beulah June Smith Stephan.
She was united in marriage to Vernon David Hustead on November 1950, in Knox County, Missouri and he preceded her in death on in July 1986.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Darrell Dean Stephan.
Surviving are five children, Jackie Nesmith and her friend Bob Robbins of Kirksville, Missouri, Janice Hind and husband Danny of Chillicothe, Missouri, Steve Hustead of Centralia, Illinois, Mike Hustead and wife Sally of Yoakum, Texas, and Mark Hustead of Macon, Missouri, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was raised in Knox County where she received her education. She was employed as a clerk for McKay Pharmacy for twenty years retiring in 1997. Darlene was an active member of the Edina United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her companion dog Mister.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2010, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Reverend Sam Smith will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery.
Music will be provided by Brent Karhoff, soloist, and Carol Hayes organist. Musical selections will be "One Day At A time", and "How Great Thou Art".
Casket bearers will be Devin Mullins, Shane Smith, Scotty Smith, Troy Callahan, Kelly Hustead and Jerry Holman.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. on Friday, September 10, 2010, with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri.
Memorials in memory of Lois Darlene Lynn may be made to the Knox County Nutrition Site or the Edina United Methodist Church. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, Missouri, 63537.
