Obituary

Lloyd William Wehrmann, age 88, of LaBelle, MO, passed away Monday, January 16, 2012, at the LaBelle Manor Care Center in LaBelle, MO.
He was born at Zion, IL on June 25, 1923, the son of Adolph William and Katie Hildmann Wehrmann.
He was united in marriage on August 15, 1953, to Elizabeth Claire Martin at LaBelle, MO.
Surviving are his wife Claire Wehrmann, one son Lawrence Wehrmann and wife Barbara of Mission Viejo California, one sister Mildred Bailey of Lewistown, MO, two granddaughters, Sarah and Jennifer, four great grandchildren, one niece Judy Bailey of Kansas City, MO, one nephew Dennis Bailey and wife Diane of Lewistown, MO, two great nieces Erin Davis and husband Randy and Laura Eckardt both of the Kansas City area. Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Elnora Wehrmann.
Lloyd lived most of his life in Lewis County, MO where he attended Morriss rural school and graduated from LaBelle High School in 1941. He served in the United States Navy during World War II from December 7, 1944, to July 30, 1946. Lloyd owned and operated a semi truck and had hauled produce all over the United States. He also owned and operated Wehrmann Dozing and had dug many ponds, lakes and terraces in Lewis, Knox and Clark Counties. Lloyd was a member of the Christian Catholic Church in Zion, IL, LaBelle Order of The Eastern Star Chapter # 316, LaBelle Masonic Lodge # 222 serving as Past Master, LaBelle American Legion Post # 200 serving as Past Commander, Moolah Shrine Temple in St. Louis, MO, York Rite and Scottish Rite Masonic Chapters. Lloyd had served as LaBelle Alderman and Mayor. He had served on the board of I.D.A. at Monticello, MO and had served on the board of the Port Authority at Canton, MO. Lloyd enjoyed hunting and spending time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2012, at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Officiating the services will be Reverend Mike Wilson. Burial with full Military Honors will be in the Lewistown Cemetery conducted by Lewis County Memorial American Legion Post # 578. Music will be provided by Myrna Wear. Musical selections will be "Will The Circle Be Unbroken" and "Old Rugged Cross".
Casket bearers will be Charles Shutts, Jeff McReynolds, Randy Davis, Brad Hawkinson, Bill Smith and Bill Hamilton.
Honorary bearers will be Owen Grove, Virgil Scifres, Bill Hunziker, Royal "Bill" Wilson, Larry Hackamack, Noel Sweet and Steve Whiteaker.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 18, 2012, after 4 p.m. with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel.
Easter Star and Masonic Rites will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at the Coder Funeral chapel in LaBelle, MO.
It is suggested that memorials be made to Shriner's Hospital Burn Center or the LaBelle Nutrition Center.. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO 63447.
