Linda Lou Banks age 86, of Edina, MO passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2024, in the Knox County Nursing Home in Edina, MO.

She was born in Knox County on September 3, 1937, the daughter of Elvin Reed and Ida Mae Snell Morrow.

She was united in marriage to Carl M. Banks and to this union two sons were born Gary and Brian.

Linda graduated from Knox City High School and graduated from Cosmetology School in Quincy, IL.   She became a licensed beautician and had a shop in her home for many years.  Linda later became a EMT and worked many years for the Knox County Ambulance District and retired as their Ambulance District Administrator.   Linda was a member of the Matilda Chapter # 411 Order of the Eastern Star in Edina, MO and a member of the Edina United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed shopping, flowers, bowling and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are two sons Gary (Mary Ann) and Brian (Wynona) Banks both of Edina, MO, four grandchildren Justin, Nichole, Stefanie, and Brian six great grandchildren Benjamin, Jack, Jonathan, Samuel, Pyper and Sidney and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Elvin Ray Morrow and Terry Lynn Morrow.

Funeral services will be held Monday, January 22, 2024 in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by Eastern Star Services at 11 a.m. conducted by Matilda Chapter # 411 Order of the Eastern Star.   Funeral services will follow Eastern Star Services.

Officiating the services will be Reverend Graig Connell.  Burial will be in the Knox City Cemetery Knox City, MO.

Casket bearers will be Justin Barlow, Brian Banks, Steve Shipp, Jeff Morrow, Benjamin Barlow and Jack Barlow.  Honorary bearers will be Jonathan Barlow, Lisa Morrow, Marilyn Cardwell and Knox County Ambulance Employees.
