Larry Wayne (Stoney) Stone, age 79 of Knox City, MO, passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026, in Macon Health Care Center in Macon, MO.

He was born in Rutledge, MO on October 20, 1946, the son of Wayne Edward and Helen Louise Grainger Stone.

He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Blevins on August 8, 2003, in Edina, MO.

Surviving are his wife Mary Ann (Annie) Stone of Knox City, MO. He was a father to two children Bryon Koehler and Christina of Quincy, IL and Jill Mason and Bob of Booneville, MO, one brother Garry James Stone of LaGrange, MO, five grandchildren Sarah and Justin, Hannah and Tim, Emily and Trent, Ethan and Aaliyah, Isabella, five great grandchildren, Bella, Kamden, Brayden, Charlotte and Josie, and several cousins.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

Larry received his education at Rutledge, MO. He served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1965. Larry was employed for over 53 years as along haul truck driver. He was also a mechanic and could work on anything. He loved old tractors, hunting and fishing. Stoney was a friend to everyone he met. He didn’t know a stranger. He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking the grandkids for rides on his golf cart all over Knox City visiting with everyone.

A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, October 1, 2026, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. The Family will receive friends at 1 p.m. and services will begin at 2 p.m. at Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home.

Reverend Youngnam Park will officiate the services. Burial with full military honors will be held in The Slocum Cemetery west of Greensburg, MO.
