Obituary

Kenneth Wayne Winters age 70 of Knox City, MO passed away Monday, November 11, 2019, in Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL.   He was born December 15, 1948, at Poplar Bluff, MO, the son of Walter Ray and Betty Jane Leonard Winters.  He was united in marriage to Erma Jean Haynes on March 12, 1988 in St. Louis, MO.

Surviving are his wife Erma Winters of LaBelle, MO, four children, Kelly Bonvillain of Ballwin, MO, Corey Wayne (April) Winters of Cadet, MO, Jessica Moore of Lewistown, MO, and Christy (Sam) Bartz of Ewing, MO, one brother Tom (Debbie) Winters of Fenton, MO, nine grandchildren, Tyler and Kaylee Bonvillain, Samantha, Breanna and Caleb Winters, Leam and Luke Bartz, Bryson and Madelyn Moore, four great grandchildren, Paisley, Hadley, Kyra and Jayden, several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, his mother-in-law Jean Medley of Perryville, MO, and special longtime friends Duke and Ronald Christopher.   Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Walter Ray Winters, his father-in-law Marshall Haynes II, and special friends Joe and Chuck Christopher.

Kenneth was born in Poplar bluff, MO.  He received his education is St. Louis and Steelville, MO.  He served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1975.  Kenneth was a mechanic for 30 years with Melville and Metro Chrysler in the St. Louis area till his retirement in 2004.   He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his family.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, November 18, 2019, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.  Reverend Lance Bonnell will officiate the services.  Burial with full Military Honors will be in the Deer Ridge Cemetery.

Casket bearers will be Sam Bartz, John Haynes, Frank Morland, Joe Van Leer, Ralph Barroso, Tim Palmer and Brendan Caliendo.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 18, 2019, from 11 a.m. till time of services at 1 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.

Memorials are suggested to the Family to be designated later. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO, 63447.
