Kenneth Bernard Kniess, age 79 of Lewistown, MO passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026 in Country Aire Retirement Estates in Lewistown, MO.

He was born in Wisconsin on November 23, 1946, the son of Myron Alfred and Evelyn Frane Kniess.

He was united in marriage to Bessie Louise Aitken in 2012 in Ralls County, MO and she preceded him in death.

Surviving are three children, Jason Kniess of Wilmington, MO, Shawn Kniess of Wentzville, MO, and Sherry of Wentzville, MO, one step daughter Ruth (Eddie) Stewart of Quincy, IL, and one step son Frank Quinlin of Hannibal, MO, six sisters Dee, Donna, Sandy, Kaitlin, Marie and Levena, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Kenneth resided in northeast Missouri where he was engaged in trucking. He was a collector of Allis-Chalmers Tractors.

His wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO is assisting the family with arrangements.
