Kathryn Sue “Kathy” Hatfield, age 74 of Edina, MO passed away, July 6, 2026 at the Knox County Nursing Home at Edina. Born December 14, 1951 at Kirksville, MO she was a daughter of George Joseph and Dorothy Elizabeth Snyder Delaney.
Surviving are David Hatfield of Edina, MO; one son, Allen (Kimberly) Hatfield of Knox City, MO; one daughter, Lori (Kelly) Hall of Ewing, MO; two brothers, William C. “Bill” Delaney of Kirksville, MO; George D. “Danny” (Leeanna) Delaney of Palmyra, MO; one sister, Sharon E. “Sherry” (John David) Parsons of Novelty, MO. Grandchildren, Travis Hall, Harlie (Eric) Bonney, Delana Hatfield (Robert Dean Dooley) and Michael Hatfield. One Great Grandson Lennox Dooley. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a niece, MacKenzie Parsons; two sisters-in-law, Donna Cardwell and Betty Michel; and a brother-in-law, Dale Hatfield.
Kathryn was also preceded in death by a very dear and close friend, Dixie Parrish. The two really enjoyed going to Quincy and getting their nails manicured.
She graduated from the Knox County High School class of 1969. Kathryn was a beautician for several years. She later worked and retired from Adair Foods in Kirksville.
Kathryn enjoyed reading, shopping, spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also loved going to Branson, MO to enjoy the music shows.
Visitation will be held Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral services at 11:00 a.m. at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Rev. Paul Harvey will officiate the services. Recorded music selection by Alan Jackson will be “Stroll Over Heaven With Me”.
Casket bearers will be Brad Parsons, Travis Hall, Eric Bonney, Tanner Delaney, Michael Hatfield and Robert Dooley. Honorary bearers will be Wesley Parsons, Kelly Hall, Eddie Tague, Mike Hayes and Danny Wood.
Memorials in memory of Kathryn Hatfield may be made to the Knox City Cemetery. The memorials may be left at or mailed to Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1, Edina, MO 63537.
