Judith Lucille Day, age 75, of Edina, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2009, in the Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Missouri. She was born November 4, 1934, at Winchester, Illinois, the daughter of Lewis Roy and Lola Lucille Day. She was preceded in death by her parents, two nephews Kenneth Lee and Thomas Roy Pinson, two great nephews, Josh and Scott Pinson, and two brothers-in-law, Leroy and Jesse Pinson. Surviving are two sisters, Patricia Ann Pinson and Mary Jane Pinson both of Edina, Missouri, nieces and nephews, David Pinson and wife Karen of Edina, Missouri, Alan Pinson of Marion, Texas, Linda Shultz and husband Roger of Quincy, Illinois, Rick Pinson and wife Kathy of Edina, Missouri, John Pinson of Edina, Missouri, Marsha Lewis and husband Randy of Naples, Florida, Lois Huchteman and husband Daryl of Edina, Missouri, 16 great nieces and nephews and 21 great great nieces and nephews. Judith graduated from Edina High School. Most of her life was dedicated to child care. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Edina where she had taught Sunday school. She was a fifty year member of Matilda Chapter # 411 Order of the Eastern Star. Judith enjoyed collecting jewelry boxes, Precious Moment's memorabilia and spending time with her family and friends and her dog Bouncer. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, December 13, 2009, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Reverend David Howald will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Linville Cemetery. Music will be provided by Rita Worthington, organist. Musical recorded selections will be "Because He Lives", "I Know Who Holds Tomorrow", and Mansion Over The Hilltop". Casket bearers will be Daryl Huchteman, Rick Pinson, Eric Klocke, Donnie Crim, David Pinson, and David Florea. Visitation will be Saturday, December 12, 2009, after 4 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, Missouri. Eastern Star Services will be held 7 p.m. Saturday evening in the Chapel conducted by Matilda Chapter # 411 O.E.S. Memorials in memory of Judith Lucille Day may be made to the Shriner's Hospital.
