John Ollen Love, age 73, of Novelty, MO, passed away Thursday, March 8, 2018, in Samaritan Hospital in Macon, MO. He was born September 23, 1944, at Mexico, MO, the son of James Ollen and Vivian Fern Plybon Love. John graduated from Edina High School. He served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. John resided most of his life in the Northeast MO area in Brashear and Knox County where he enjoyed buying, selling and restoring antiques. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, arrowhead and rock hunting, bottle digging and coon hunting. Surviving are three sons, Jeff Ollen Love of Novelty, MO, John Paul (Kelly) Love of Brashear, MO, and Roy Allen (Amy) Love of Kirksville, MO, nine grandchildren, Taylor Lasley, Riley Love, Kristen Clay, Jacob Love, Keely Love, James Love, Trevor Love, Stephanie Love, Jaxon Love and six great grandchildren. John was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Luellen Irene Love and Connie Jen Love. Funeral services will be held, 2 p.m. Monday, March 12, 2018, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Reverend Paul Milliken will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery. Musical selections will be Seminole wind and Old rugged Cross. Casket bearers will be Jeff Love, Roy Love, John Love, Trevor Love, Jerry Simpson, Jr., and Charlie King, Sr. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. Sunday, March 11, 2018, with family receiving friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
