John Raymond (Hub) Kincaid, age 67, of Edina, MO passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014, at his home rural Edina.
Mr. Kincaid was born August 5, 1946, in California the son of Lester Raymond and Clara Louise Kimberly Kincaid.
Hub was united in marriage to Carol Ann DeSpain on January 11, 1969, at Clarence, MO.
Surviving are his wife Carol Ann Kincaid of Edina, MO, two sons John Raymond Kincaid II and wife Shanna of Quincy, IL and Jason Russell Kincaid and wife Joanne of Novelty, MO, one sister Nancy L. Kincaid Thomas and husband James of Kansas City, MO, four grandchildren Ashley Kincaid, John R. Kincaid III, Ian R. Kincaid and Celia Kincaid. John was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Hub was born in California while both his parents were in the navy. He was raised in the rural Novelty area. He was in the first graduating class of Knox County R-1 and after two years at Northeast MO State Teacher's College he tested to work for American Telephone & Telegraph in Norway, IL. From Norway he was transferred to Springfield and after several years there he retired on disability and moved back to Missouri. Hub was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Springfield, IL and a member of the Shrine. Hub enjoyed helping his father with cattle and farming. He liked working in the yard, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, August 9, 2014, in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO. Pastor Larry DeSpain will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held Saturday, August 9, 2014, from 12 noon till time of services at 2 p.m. in the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
