John Daniel Bowen, age 43, of Hurdland, MO, passed away Sunday, April 9, 2023, in the University Hospital in Columbia, MO.  He was born October 4, 1979, in Kirksville, MO, the son of Danny Gale and Lurah LuAnna O'Haver Bowen.

John lived all his life in Hurdland, MO and attended Knox County Schools.  John worked on computers, enjoyed fishing, video games, basketball, watching NASCAR and spending time with his son Payton.

Surviving are his mother LuAnn Bowen of Paris, MO, one son Payton Bowen and his mother Melissa Ammons (Aaron) Eitel of Shelbyville, MO, two brothers Tom (Melissa) Bowen of LaBelle, MO, and Terry Fowler of Jackson, TN, and several nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his father, and one sister Kellie Moyers.

John will be cremated and services will be held at a later date.  Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina is in charge of arrangements.
