Jim Dale Clair, age 81, of Moberly, MO formerly of Knox County, passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024, in Moberly Regional Medical Center.
He was born September 11, 1942, in Hurdland, MO, the son of Ernest Ralph and Ruby Edith Brown Clair.
Jim is survived by two children, Shawn Clair of Ottumwa, IA and Heather (Alan) Baker of Cedar Rapids, IA, one grandson and two great grandchildren, one brother, Gary (Jean) Clair of Hurdland, MO, and a cousin Lee Fox of Kirksville, MO. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother David Clair.
Jim received his education in Beal rural school north of Edina and graduated from Baring High School in 1961. Shortly after graduating from high school, he enlisted in the national Guard.
Jim married Elaine Walker of Burlington, IA, August 16, 1964 and to this union two children were born. During his lifetime he worked at Case Manufacturing in Burlington, IA and farmed and worked in construction.
Jim's wishes were to be cremated and no services will be held at this time. Burial will be in the Harmony Cemetery south of Edina.
Arrangement are under the direction of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
