James Durwood Peak, age 62 of LaBelle, MO, passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at his home in LaBelle, MO.

He was born October 22, 1951, in LaBelle, MO the son of James August and Beulah Belle Lewis Peak.

James resided all his life in LaBelle where he received his education graduating from LaBelle High School. He was employed for thirteen years as a CNA at LaBelle Manor, and then Country Aire Retirement Estates till his retirement in 2009. He was baptized in the Christian Church at Philadelphia in 1978 and transferred to LaBelle Christian church in 1995. He served as Church elder, bible study teacher, and Sunday school teacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, aunt's uncles and cousins.

Surviving are one aunt Alberta Richmond of Palmyra, MO, and several cousins.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at the LaBelle Cemetery under the direction of the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.

\Visitation will be held Friday, April 11, 2014, after 10 a.m. at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.

Casket bearers will be members of the LaBelle First Christian Church.
