Obituary

Gerald Wayne Epperson, age 90, of rural Brashear, MO passed away Thursday, July 11, 2024, at his home East of Adair, MO.

He was born in Hannibal, MO May 23, 1934, the son of Ernest G. and Zella V. Milam Epperson.

He was married to Thelma Jean Eagleson who preceded him in death.  Gerald was also preceded by his parents and his first wife Rosalie Epperson.

Surviving are four children, Paula (Kirby) Adamson of Reynolds, IL, Cindy Snyder of Davenport, IA, Belinda (Charles) Bolby of Brashear, MO, and Ernest W. (Sally) Epperson of Muscatine, IA and a step daughter Kathy Oehrlein of Redding, CA.  Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

Gerald received his education in Hannibal, MO.  He served his country in the United States Army from Oct. 15, 1953 to October 12, 1956 serving two years, 11 months and 28 days.

Gerald lived for several years in Davenport, IA where he was employed as union electrician and traveled all over the country.  For the past couple of years Gerald has resided north of Brashear, MO.  Gerald was an avid race fan especially sprint cars.

Gerald will be cremated and no services at this time.   Burial will be held in the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island Illinois.

Services are under the care of the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina, MO.
