George Blaettner Hudson, age 91 of Arbela, MO, passed away Saturday, March 7, 2026, in Veterans Home in Mexico, MO. He was born in Wyaconda, MO on July 10, 1934, the son of Freal and Henritta Katherine Blaettner Hudson.

He was united in marriage to Evangelina Garcia on February 16, 1957 in Monterrey Mexico.

Surviving are his wife Eva Hudson of Kahoka, MO, one son Joseph (Martha) Hudson of Bloomfield, IA, two grandchildren, Patrick J. (Sanders Moore) Hudson, and Alena C. (Caleb) Poe, five great grandchildren, Mason D. Poe, Ronan M. Poe, Diana A. Poe, Sylvia K. Hudson Moore, and Bryce A. Hudson Moore and several cousins including, Bebe Ann Rimer, Ruthie (Joe) Brandt, and Mary Beth (Vern) St. Clair.

George was preceded in death by his parents, half-sister Elora Elizabeth Taylor Prebe, one half brother Charles Henry Taylor, one nephew Ray Prebe.

George graduated from Wyaconda C-1 High School in 1952. He served his country in the reserves and Air Force serving 6 years, 2months and 8 days. George was engaged in farming his entire life in Clark County, MO.

Graveside services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 12, 2026 in the Veterans Cemetery at Jacksonville, MO. There will be no visitation. Hudson-Rimer Funeral Home in Edina is handling arrangements.

Casket bearers will be Caleb Poe, Mason Poe, Dick Humes, Michael Manthei, Mark St. Clair and John Plenge.
