Genevieve Tucker, age 87, of LaBelle, Missouri formerly of Williamstown, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, in the LaBelle manor Care Center in LaBelle, Missouri.
She was born in Decatur, Illinois on February 6, 1923, the daughter of Neal B. and Ruby H. Matlock Hamilton, Sr.
She was united in marriage to George Vernon Tucker at Canton, Missouri on November 30, 1947, and he preceded her in death on December 30, 1997.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers Neal Hamilton, Jr. and William Hamilton and one sister Grace Manov.
Surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Genevieve received her education at Canton, Missouri. She was a registered Nurse and had been employed at several nursing homes including LaBelle Manor in LaBelle, Missouri and Lewis County Nursing Home in Canton, Missouri. She and her husband were engaged in farming in the Williamstown area for many years. She was a member of the Methodist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Kahoka Chapter # 40 of Wayland, Missouri.
Eastern Star Services will be held at Monday, December 27, 2010, at 11 a.m. conducted by Kahoka O.E.S. Chapter # 40 of Wayland, Missouri, followed by a memorial service at the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri. Reverend Ernest Deatrick will officiate the services. Music will be "How Great Thou Art". Burial will be in the Forest Grove Cemetery at Canton, Missouri.
Memorials may be made to LaBelle Manor Care Center or Kahoka O.E.S. Chapter # 40 of Wayland, Missouri.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 27, 2010, from 10 a.m. till time of services at 11 a.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, Missouri.
