Geneva E. Marty "Aunt Jenny", age 105 of Edina, MO passed away, Tuesday, July 20, 2021 at the Knox County Nursing Home.

She was born October 12, 1915 in Lewis County, MO to Omer and Emma Spath Turpin.  After graduating from Gem City College in Quincy, IL she made her home in the St. Louis area.  On April 4, 1946 she married Walter Marty and they made their home in the Warrenton area.  In 2013 she moved to Edina to be closer to family.  She remained in her home until her 103 ^rd . birthday.

Surviving are one brother, Russell (Beulah) Turpin of Edina, MO; one sister, Mildred (Ted) Bogner of Livermore, CA; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews and numerous great-great nieces and nephews.

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters, Ann Marie Wiss, Erma Wilkerson, Opal Zell and one sister in infancy and brothers, William Turpin, Vern Turpin, Wilbur Turpin, Harold D. Turpin and Virgil Turpin.

For many years she worked as a secretary for Dr. McGray.  Geneva was an active member of the American Legion and served as treasurer for many years.  She also was treasurer of her home owners association until her 96 ^th birthday.

She loved traveling, visiting all her nieces and nephews, enjoyed car shows where they displayed their 1966 Ford Mustang and attending the Iowa State Fair to support her brother, Harold when he showed his mules.  Geneva was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and mailed the Cardinal newspaper clippings to her west coast family.  She never missed a shopping trip with her nieces.

She will always be remembered by those who loved her as "Aunt Jenny", a lady full of moxy and did things her way.

It was Geneva's wishes to be cremated and no services held.   Burial will be at a later date at Valhalla Cemetery at St. Louis, MO.
