Obituary

Evelyn Jaunita Wilkins Pinson, age 93, of LaBelle, MO, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014, in the LaBelle, Manor Care Center in LaBelle, MO.
She was born June 15, 1920, at Novelty, MO, the daughter of James Edwin and Veta Caroline Cheatum Wilkins and was raised by her grandparents Samuel D. and Evelyn Harrison Cheatum, Jr.
She was united in marriage to Stanley Raymond Pinson on March 24, 1940 at Edina, MO, and he preceded her in death on November 28, 2004. Jaunita was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Kenneth Pinson, one sister Ruth Bernadine Keith and one brother James Samuel Wilkins.
Surviving are one daughter Mary Jane (George) Ott of Ft. Worth, TX, three grandchildren Tina (Jay) Vineyard, Yvonne (Jerold) Buttrill, and Ethan (Ashlie) Pinson, four great grandchildren Tiffany Trimble, Logan Vineyard, Weldon Buttrill and Ryker Pinson and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pinson graduated from high school at Novelty, MO, and attended Kirksville State Teachers College (Truman State University) in Kirksville, MO, two years.
She taught in a country school at Monmouth, IL, and moved to LaBelle in 1949. She and her husband were engaged in farming Northeast of LaBelle. Jaunita also worked at Quincy Speaker and Motorola in Quincy, IL. She was a member of the LaBelle, Christian Church, Merry makers and the LaBelle American Legion ladies Auxiliary. Jaunita loved farming, sewing, quilting, gardening, cooking and spending time with her family.
Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Monday, February 3, 2014, in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO. Reverend James Renoit will officiate the services. Burial will be in the LaBelle Cemetery. Music will be the selection "She's Finally Home".
Casket bearers will be Melvin Heins, Bill Steffen, Roger Wilkins, Ronnie Richardson, Butch Patrick and Doug Geisendorfer.
Visitation will be held Monday, February 3, 2014, from 3 p.m. till time of services at 4 p.m. in the Coder Funeral Chapel in LaBelle, MO.
Memorials may be made to the LaBelle American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and may be mailed to or left at Coder Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 151, LaBelle, MO, 63447.
